In case you haven’t seen it, a recent ESPN Page 2 article outlined the “20 things that make you a sports doofus”. Over the next few weeks I’m going to pick through the list one by one and give my opinion on each of the 20 items, and then state whether I agree or whether the author is the real doofus. Please be sure to leave a comment with your opinion. By the way, who says the word ‘doofus’ anymore anyway?
Doofus item #1: Wearing a team jersey inscribed with your name
I’m going to start off by saying that I don’t own a personally customized jersey, but so what if I did? The way I see it, if I’m at a football game I’d rather see a fan in a customized jersey than just normal a t-shirt. At least he is supporting my team! I can’t recall a time when I’ve been to a Cincinnati Reds game (my MLB team if choice if you’re scoring at home) and heard other Reds fans heckle someone for wearing a personalized jersey.
Verdict: The author is a doofus. Leave a comment with your opinion!

Okay, this guy might have gone a bit overboard...

I have an Oregon football jersey from the early 90′s that I stole from my Dad who picked it up at an U of O auction. I sport my personalized jersey at least twice a year with pride and everyone diggs it.
